About Us
Xeno-Optic Projects is an incubator, facilitator, and disseminator for creative activities. We are a multi-platform project designed to bring together professional artists – visual, literary, and digital – to work together on creative endeavours. Through print and digital media, we strive to provide a stimulating and nurturing environment for artists both emerging and established to develop professionally and extend the remit of their practice. Our broad cultural vision is to record evidence and produce artifacts, in words and images, of the original work of artists from Canada and beyond.
Founded by painter, art-educator, and publisher William Forrestall in 2017, based in Fredericton New Brunswick, Xeno-Optic has to date produced over twenty books featuring the work of visual artists with connections to the Atlantic region, other parts of Canada, the UK, and USA. Many of these have been conceived as collaborative projects, bringing together established artists and art experts with students of art as contributors with a view to providing an experiential learning experience to foster future generations of creators. We have also produced Youtube videos profiling artists and art events. Upcoming projects include Camel, an online and print journal of visual art and prose literature.
Xeno-Optic collaborates with artists of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of achievement. We welcome project proposals through xenooptic(at)gmail.com.
